#LfK

I love living in Lawrence, Kansas. One of its charms is how we locals work to maintain the character of this little city. This includes a firm commitment to our artists and public scholars–as well as to our beloved characters who grace the coffee shops & bars. We love parades, Mass. street, Nerd Night, and Liberty Hall. We are especially fond of this town’s complex history.

If you’re going to live in Kansas, then Lawrence is the place to be. In this series, Lawrence by a Local, I hope to share with you my perspective on the highs, mediums, and lows of this extraordinary place. It also is my hope that I can offer you a Lonely Planet-type guide on what to see if you visit here. Please check-in monthly, as I show off our murals and sites, discuss our history and current events, and provide my biased introduction to what we call The River City, Larryville, and #LfK.
